The Program Manager provides leadership and budget oversight for the Center for Leadership and Service program and is responsible for managing the expenditure of Services and Activities (S&A) funds. Additionally, the position will be responsible for supervision within the program, the training of division budget managers, student leadership team advising and staff training. This position is a classified full-time position, and eligible for overtime.
Salary Information: The salary range stated above reflects the starting step of Range 48 (Step C) and ending step (Step L) salary for this classified position. Based on salary placement of Step A, it will take 5 years to reach Step L on the salary schedule. This does not reflect any contractual changes, legislative mandated salary increases or Cost of Living Increases (COLA's) that may be approved in the future.

Essential Tasks Reporting to the Center for Leadership and Service Director, this position will:
Service and Activities (S&A) Fee Budget Development, Management, and Training – 50%
• Oversee the S&A committee development process, which includes student applications, student interviews, onboarding of student volunteers, and training for student committee members;
• Monitor the expenditure and usage of S&A funds and take corrective actions when needed;
• Supervise the Community Budget Coordinator and S&A Budget Chair, with support from the Center for Leadership & Service Director and/or ASHC Advisor;
• Advise and train budget managers on appropriate usage of student fees and coordinating forms;
• Interpret, advise and implement institutional policies and procedures related to the program and budget;
• Supervise all unit revenue cash management in accordance to Highline College policy;
• Serve as Budget office liaison for the Center for Leadership and Service and Center for Cultural and Inclusive Excellence; Department administrative support and liaison – 35%
• Conduct operational and administrative training for professional staff and student employees;
• Serve as HSU building liaison for Facilities, Auxiliary Services and Campus Safety requests;
• Supervise the front desk student team, including advising, training support and general oversight;
• Conduct weekly 1:1 and team meetings with student team;
• Participate in personnel decisions involving student and part-time employees;
• Maintain accurate records for all contingency requests, transactions and meeting minutes;
• Performs quarterly academic standing, progress, and GPA checks for each student employee and student volunteer;
• Provide administrative support to the Director of Center for Leadership and Service Unit collaboration – 15%
• Conduct weekly S&A Leadership Team Meetings throughout S&A review and deliberation process;
• Participate in weekly department and/or unit meetings;
• Represent the department in campus committees as needed;
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned to support the offerings of the CLS & CCIE work unit.

• A Bachelor's degree in social sciences, education, communications or a related field; AND
• One year of professional experience in a budgeting or accounting environment.; OR
• An Associate's Degree; AND
• Three years of progressively increasing supervisory and/or administrative experience in a budgeting or accounting environment.
• Experience within a higher education environment.
