About the Speakers
Amanda Miller is passionate about sustainable sustainability. In her diverse sector experience, she brings an innovative approach to create impactful programs with staying power and environmentally conscientious growth strategies. She is the Executive Director of the South King Tool Library, with locations in Federal Way and Auburn; founding steering committee member of the US National Tool Library Alliance; a board member of the Washington Recycling Market Development Center; a member of the Soroptimist International Federal Way Chapter; and honored to be acknowledged for community support, leadership, and efforts in sustainability, by the Washington State Recycling Association, Puget Sound Energy, King County Department of Natural Resources, Federal Way Public Schools, Washington Native Plant Society, and the Greater Federal Way Chamber of Commerce.
Han Kirkland is a Public Sector Manager at WM with over 20 years of experience in municipal solid waste and recycling services. She plays a critical role in managing long-term contracts and building lasting relationships with cities throughout the Puget Sound region. Known for her collaborative approach and strong operational insight, Han serves as a trusted liaison between WM and local governments, ensuring service delivery aligns with municipal goals for efficiency, transparency, and environmental stewardship.
Priscilla Tran has been an Outreach Coordinator at WM for about 1.5 years now. Her favorite part about the job is giving tours because she finds their recycling facilities extremely fascinating, and she especially loves when she gets the opportunity to share that fascination with other community members. She graduated from UW with a degree in Environmental Science and Terrestrial Resource Management in 2023. She was a part of many clubs including UW Farms, Society of Ecology Restoration, climbing club and more! Outside of work, Priscilla enjoys hiking, climbing, tennis and recently picked up golf.
