Description

Enjoy some after hour networking while walking through the past at the Historical Society of Federal Way.

Refreshments will be served and two exhibits will be featured. The Jackson Street After Hours and Logging History in Federal Way.

The Jackson Street After Hours, by Paul DeBarros, represents the early jazz history in Seattle. Quincy Jones, Ray Charles, Ernestine Anderson are a few of the famous musicians that called Seattle home to their unique style of music that we now know today.

The vast inventory of timber in Federal Way drew many small logging companies that operated in the Federal Way area for decades. Logging trains in Federal Way? Yes ? and so much more.  The exhibit focuses on a few families that were an integral part of logging in Federal Way and methods that were used during those times.
