SUMMARY:PPP: Understanding the Forgiveness Application
DESCRIPTION:Chamber members and the community are invited to join us as we welcome Chris Eyler\, Executive Director of the Northwest Region in the Congressional and Public Affairs Division at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to address recent changes made to the PPP program to provide borrowers with more flexibility. \n\n \n\nRecent changes made by Congress and the administration include:\n\n	Extending the time to spend PPP funds from 8 weeks to 24 weeks\;\n	Lowering the amount that must be spent on payroll from 75% to 60%\;\n	Extending the deadline to restore FTEs and payroll from June 30\, 2020 to Dec. 31\, 2020\; and\n	Setting the repayment term for loans made after June 4\, 2020 at five years.\n\nThe U.S. Chamber updated its Guide to PPP Forgiveness  to reflect all of these changes\, as well as others made in recent guidance issued by the Department of the Treasury.  The U.S. Chamber Guide is designed to make the forgiveness application process more understandable.\n\n\n\nABOUT CHRIS EYLER \n\n \n\nAs Executive Director of the Northwest Region in the Congressional and Public Affairs Division at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce\, Eyler represents the U.S. Chamber throughout the states of Alaska\, Idaho\, Montana\, Oregon\, Washington\, and Wyoming and helps develop and implement the U.S. Chamber's grassroots\, legislative\, and political activities in the area. He works closely with state and local chambers and members of Congress in his region to further the legislative priorities of the U.S. Chamber. Eyler received his B.A. in history and political science from Miami University (Ohio) and a law degree from the University of Oregon.\n\n____ \n\n\n\nThe Federal Way Chamber utilizes Zoom.us webcast service which allows for all participants to be visible and interact via chat.
