Boeing's Richard White\, Manager\, State and Local Government Operations\, will speak from Boeing's perspective while Kelly Maloney\, President and CEO of AFA\, will speak from the industry's perspective.\n\n\n\nAbout Kelly Maloney\n\nKelly Maloney is President & CEO of the Aerospace Futures Alliance\, representing nearly 1400 aerospace companies in WA State. Kelly also represents the City of Federal Way as a City Councilmember\, where she is the council lead on economic development\, the city's University Initiative\, the city's rebranding initiative and is a member of the Land Use and Transportation Committee. \n\nKelly's work in aerospace began as a board member for Orion Industries\, an aerospace supplier\, after which she transitioned to Orion's Director of Marketing. At Orion\, Kelly oversaw a successful rebranding effort\, government affairs\, strategic and tactical marketing\, media relations\, and business development. Kelly is a member of the Boeing Centennial Steering Committee\, Boeing Workforce Coalition\, and Governor's Aerospace Pipeline Committee.\n\n\n\nHer background includes a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Houston\, an MA in Communications and Leadership\, Gonzaga University and Advancing Leadership 2008.\n\nAbout Richard White\n\nRich White is a Government Relations manager for The Boeing Company.  In this position\, he is responsible for representing the company before elected and appointed public officials and their staffs\, industry and business association executives and political community-based organizations in the Central Puget Sound region.  He acts as the primary company focal for negotiating and influencing government relations? policy on external issues and he provides political strategy and advice to company management. White also develops and implements legislative and regulatory programs to ensure that the business interests of the company are reflected to the best advantage.\n\n\n\nPrior to joining The Boeing Company\, White was the director of government affairs for the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce\, where he oversaw the development and implementation of the chamber?s policy positions. \n\n\n\nWhite is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a master's degree in public administration from the Evans School of Public Affairs.  He was a 2005 Marshall Memorial Fellow and is a 2000 graduate of Leadership Tomorrow.
