Ophthalmologist - Federal Way
Virginia Mason Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible ophthalmologist to fill a full-time position in our Federal Way regional medical center.
The Federal Way location has one full time general ophthalmologist and an optometrist. The surgeon position has been staffed by a well-respected general ophthalmologist who is retiring after 29 years of service.
The ophthalmology section currently has a total of 8 ophthalmologists and 7 optometrists who work in our main downtown clinic and at 4 regional medical center locations. The section has retinal, corneal, glaucoma, pediatric/strabismus and oculo-plastic fellowship trained surgeons along with general ophthalmologists who practice in a collegial environment.
This is a unique opportunity to shape a team-based model general ophthalmology practice alongside a dynamic optometrist. It is also a balance of solo practice, group practice, and multispecialty practice. A chance to develop and expand a general practice with the ability to focus on special areas of interest
Virginia Mason Medical Center enjoys a well-earned regional and national reputation as a tertiary referral center for the Pacific Northwest. Clinical research opportunities are available due to our diverse patient population.
