Steins, Vines & Grinds: A History of Beer, Wine, and Coffee in Washington
The Chamber welcomes Molly Wilmoth, Lead Program Manager at the Washington State Historical Society, for this keynote address. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Gonzaga University as well as a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis on teaching.
Molly’s passion for beer, wine and coffee began at an early age while growing up in Olympia. She hoped to tour the Olympia Brewery for her seventh birthday but settled for an art museum tour after her mother’s protests.
As an adult, Molly has enjoyed these beverages first-hand and continues to learn about the industries through tours, seminars, and festivals.
Before taking her current position at WSHS, she curated the special exhibition and associated programming for Rights, Rations, Remembrance: Fife in World War II at the Fife History Museum. She continues to be involved with coordinating community-based exhibitions, including In the Spirit: Contemporary Native Arts, A Decade of Art by ONYX Fine Arts Collective, and Washington State Parks Through the Lens of Asahel Curtis.
